Maureen Kelly Tournament 2024
Thank you to everyone who turned out to support yet again another successful Huddersfield netball tournament, in memory of Maureen Kelly. We can’t hold these events without our fantastic umpires and volunteers, and despite the intermittent rain during the day, we had some wonderful feedback and great to see everyone together as always celebrating netball in our local area.
You can see some brilliant photographs taken by West Yorkshire’s official photographer in our photo gallery, it is great to see so many team photos and action shots, both in the rain and the sunshine! We managed to raise an amazing £700 for Cancer Research and our sincere thanks go out to Adam Kelly, Maureen’s son who donated a super prize of a four night holiday at a luxury eco lodge in Wales http://www.northwalesecolodges.co.uk This prize was won by Stacey, a Genies player.
20 teams took part. The morning session started with four groups of five teams playing each other.
The top two from each group progressed to the Trophy Section, with the remaining three teams from each group progressing to the Plate Section.
The afternoon session began with two groups of teams in both the Plate and Trophy playing each other

The winner in group 2 was Marsden who progressed to the final, with Hepworth C coming runners up in their group.
