She’s not only gone and done it!
Our wonderful Jackie Cork, umpire and mentor to many has won the Sheelagh Redpath Grassroots Official award at the recent Yorkshire 2019 Goalden Globes awards.
Jackie is well known throughout the region for her dedication and continued support not only for her umpiring commitment and ability, but the unfailing support she gives as a mentor to our learner umpires.
Without her, we certainly wouldn’t have as many qualified umpires in her local area. The judges praised her abilities and recognised the quality and ability of those coming through the umpiring process that are directly influenced and coached by her.
I am sure you will all join us in congratulating her, and wishing her well as she now goes on to represent our region at the national England Netball Vitality Goalden Globe Awards on Sunday 14th July in Liverpool.
